Motorcyclists are known for their love of feeling free on the road and the pride in their machine. In Laurens' motorcycle shop in Reeuwijk, that passion takes centre stage. To further reinforce the raw, authentic atmosphere of his workshop and shop, he chose two special pieces of wall art from Profotonet. From a metallic and rainy effect on brushed aluminium to an emotional tribute on clear acrylic: each of these photos tells its own story.
Anyone who steps into a motorcycle shop expects the smell of oil, the shining chrome of motorcycles and the stories of great rides. Laurens wanted to give this raw environment a personal and warm feel.

The first panel on the wall breathes adventure. It is a photo of a spectacular motorcycle trip through the Italian Alps, taken in the Piedmont region.
To emphasise the rough and adventurous character of the ride, Laurens chose a print on brushed aluminium. Thanks to the unique way of printing, in which the silver-grey aluminium shimmers through the white and light parts of the photo, a special optical effect is created. Although it was dry during the ride, the aluminium structure makes it look as if it is gently raining in the background. This dynamic effect gives the action photo an industrial and almost magical layering.
Where the photo in the Alps stands for adventure, the second panel carries a deep emotional value. This photo features a legendary classic: a BMW R60/5 from 1972.
This motorcycle was owned by Laurens' now deceased uncle Ed. Laurens cherishes this classic and still owns the motorcycle to this day. To honour the memory of his uncle and give this special motorcycle the stage it deserves, he chose a print behind acrylic glass.
Acrylic glass creates a beautiful sense of depth and brings the colours and details of the classic BMW to life crisply. The gloss and clarity of the material make it a real eye-catcher with a wonderful story.
