Submitting a photo book
At the moment, photo books can only be submitted via our comprehensive Album Designer. This software offers photographers all the tools needed to create a professional-quality book. If you prefer, you can also design complete spreads in another program (such as InDesign) and import them into our software as JPG files. You can find the exact spread sizes in our size table. On that same page, the templates are also available for download as InDesign or PSD files.
Ordering from Fundy Designer or Pixellu SmartAlbums
Ordering directly from Fundy Designer or Pixellu SmartAlbums is not possible, but all our products are available within their software. Simply select a Profotonet product there to automatically get the correct spread sizes. On this page, we have briefly outlined the steps for ordering with a design created in Fundy or Pixellu.
Designing a photo book in InDesign
From InDesign, you can export complete spreads as JPG files and import them into our Album Designer. We provide a clear overview of spread sizes per photo book format.
The templates can even be downloaded directly as InDesign or PSD files. Make sure your spreads use the AdobeRGB or sRGB colour profile. Without a recognised colour profile, images may appear flat in the Album Designer. In that case, simply opening and saving the spreads in Photoshop is sufficient.
Submitting a photo book as a PDF
Submitting a photo book is currently only possible via our Album Designer. PDF files are not supported. If you export from another design program, you will need to do so in JPG format or as 8-bit TIFF files. These files can then be imported as spreads into our software.
You can download the required template directly as an InDesign or PSD file. The dimensions include page bleed. In our software, both the page bleed and the centre of the spread are indicated with a red line.
