: What are the dimensions of the mounts?
The mounts are 5 cm wide on all sides. This means that a 20 × 30 cm photo without a mount fits in a 20 × 30 cm frame, while the same photo with a mount is framed in a 30 × 40 cm frame.
To determine the final frame size, simply add 10 cm to both the width and the height of your photo.
: Which colour options are available for a mount?
You can choose between a black or white mount. The cut edge of the mount is slightly angled, creating a subtle sense of depth. For both the black and white mounts, this angled cut edge is white.
: What is conservation framing?
Our framing service uses materials and techniques that provide the best possible protection for your photo. The print is mounted with acid-free adhesive onto polystyrene to prevent warping, and the mount is also made from high-quality, archival-grade material that does not compromise the print.
Because all materials are carefully selected to minimise deterioration of the print, this method is known as conservation framing. It ensures that you can enjoy your beautiful print for many years to come.
: What material are your passe-partouts made of?
Our passe-partouts have an outer layer of high-quality white or black paper and a core made from pH-neutral white alpha cellulose (wood pulp). They are completely acid-free and lignin-free. Being acid-free ensures that the colours of the print are preserved optimally, while lignin-free means the mount itself will not discolour over time.
