To mark Tony’s Chocolonely’s 20th anniversary (the '20th Tonyversary') with celebration and purpose, the iconic chocolate brand opened the doors to the Tony’s Choco Experience. This chocolate paradise was not only a rich taste experience packed with limited editions, fun, and games, but above all a powerful platform for Tony’s mission: ending exploitation in the cocoa industry.

To convey the bitter reality and the impact of 20 years of 'sweet solutions' to visitors, various areas of the experience were styled with documentary photography on Forex wall prints.

The story behind the images

Behind every bar of chocolate lies an origin story. To make the true narrative and the impact on the lives of more than 40,000 cocoa farmers tangible, Tony’s Chocolonely commissioned several documentary photographers. They traveled to the cocoa plantations to capture the supply chain, the people, and the production process up close.

As visitors walked through the Tony’s Choco Experience, they were fully immersed in these stories.

Documentary photography on sleek Forex

To give the images the visual impact they deserve, 19 high-quality Forex wall prints were chosen in various sizes ranging from 20x30cm to 60x80cm.

The sleek, matte finish of the Forex material combined with Fujifilm Lustre printing ensured that the authentic, raw documentary photos were displayed at their absolute best, completely free from distracting reflections caused by event lighting.

Awareness and celebration

The combination of tasting, experiencing, and learning made the Tonyversary an unforgettable success. The 11,600 visitors were not only treated to the latest flavors and plenty of fun, but were also drawn into the mission through the photographic timeline and storytelling on Forex wall prints. This reinforced Tony's ultimate birthday wish: working together toward a cocoa industry free from exploitation.
