De Zilveren Camera

For five years, Profotonet has been one of the largest sponsors of De Zilveren Camera. De Zilveren Camera is the leading Dutch award for photojournalism and documentary photography. Each year, the best news photographs by Dutch photographers are submitted and evaluated by jury members who play an important role in Dutch photography. During the competition, prizes are awarded across several categories. The most important distinction in Dutch news photography also receives the grand prize: the Zilveren Camera. The winning images are brought together in a traveling Zilveren Camera exhibition.

Each year, Profotonet produces all the images for this exhibition. We do this on museum-quality photographic paper from, among others, Fujifilm. In addition, we provide prizes for the Junior Zilveren Camera.

World Press Photo

In 2023, Profotonet was the proud print partner of the World Press Photo Foundation. This Dutch foundation organizes the world’s largest and most prestigious press photography competition each year: World Press Photo of the Year. After the winning entries were announced, the photographs were exhibited during the Flagship Exhibition at De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. The images then traveled as part of an international exhibition that toured the world.

For this collaboration, Profotonet produced 50 large-format panels and 700 prints.

No Guts No Glory Foundation – The Portrait Project

No Guts No Glory is a Dutch foundation dedicated to making special (musical) experiences and wishes come true for people of all ages living with cancer, as well as their caregivers. This includes organising living room concerts, concert and festival visits, purchasing musical instruments, and arranging music lessons.

Through The Portrait Project, Robin Looy (concert photographer and No Guts No Glory volunteer) sells unique (live) portraits and signed items from well-known artists such as Foo Fighters, Sting and Kiss. Portraits of Dutch artists — including De Heideroosjes, Rob Dekay, Brainpower and others — are also available.

All prints are sponsored by Profotonet, ensuring that the full proceeds go directly to the foundation.
