Telling stories in the best possible way through high-quality prints — that is our mission. As an image maker, you quickly recognise a unique image. And that image deserves to be seen. Together with our partners (including various museums and exhibitions), we share this ambition and strive to print images as beautifully and accurately as possible, so that every exhibition receives the attention it deserves.
At Profotonet, we work according to the highest standards in colour, materials and finishing. Our ambition calls for a premium ImageLAB — combined with our keen eye and the skilled hands of true craftsmen. Our quality and the storytelling power of our partners ensure that memorable images are shared and brought to life.
We produce wall art, photo prints and photo books for, among others:
The Silver Camera Foundation
World Press Photo
The Perfect Picture
No Guts No Glory Foundation
The Silver Camera Foundation
For the past five years, Profotonet has been one of the main sponsors of the Silver Camera Foundation. The Silver Camera is the leading Dutch award for photojournalism and documentary photography. Each year, the best news photos by Dutch photographers are submitted and judged by a panel of experts who play an important role in Dutch photography. During the competition, prizes are awarded across various categories. The most prestigious award in Dutch news photography — the Silver Camera — is presented as the grand prize. The winning images are brought together in a travelling Silver Camera exhibition.
Every year, Profotonet produces all the prints for the Silver Camera exhibition. We do this on museum-quality photographic paper, including Fujifilm materials. In addition, we provide prizes for the Junior Silver Camera competition.
World Press Photo Foundation
In recent years, Profotonet has been a proud print partner of World Press Photo. World Press Photo is a Dutch foundation that organises the world’s largest and most prestigious press photography competition each year: the World Press Photo of the Year.
After the winning entries are announced, the photos are exhibited during the Flagship Exhibition at De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. The images are also brought together in a travelling exhibition that tours worldwide. As part of this collaboration, Profotonet produces 50 large-format panels and 700 prints for World Press Photo.
The partnership between World Press Photo and Profotonet connects stories that matter with the rest of the world. The Flagship Exhibition, together with the travelling exhibition, showcases stories about real events that highlight significant social issues from the past year. This stimulates developments within photojournalism and encourages the exchange of knowledge and inspiration.
Het Perfecte Plaatje on RTL 4
Together with Kamera Express, Profotonet is a partner of Het Perfecte Plaatje on RTL 4. In this TV show, ten Dutch celebrities with a passion for photography compete to take the best photos. Each week features different themes, challenging participants with a wide range of assignments.
The photos are judged by permanent jury members — celebrity photographer William Rutten and documentary photographer and Silver Camera winner Cynthia Boll. They are supported by guest judges who provide tips and guidance before the assignments begin.
In every episode, our photo books are showcased, and each participant receives a photo book featuring their perfect shots to take home.
Museum Hilversum
At the end of Het Perfecte Plaatje, an exhibition titled Het Perfecte Plaatje – Winners opens at Museum Hilversum. This exhibition features the most beautiful images from the winners of all seasons of the show. All prints are sponsored by Profotonet.
Fun fact: Museum Hilversum also hosts exhibitions of the Silver Camera and World Press Photo.
Museum Panorama Mesdag
Profotonet is a sponsor of Museum Panorama Mesdag. This private museum houses a permanent collection of works by Hendrik Willem Mesdag, his wife Sientje van Houten, and their contemporaries. It also presents exhibitions on 19th-century art, the panorama phenomenon, and contemporary artists. Through these exhibitions, Museum Panorama Mesdag aims to inspire, amaze and engage as wide an audience as possible across generations.
Last year, Profotonet sponsored the Panorama photo competition organised by Museum Panorama Mesdag. Each year, the museum hosts a photo contest based on the theme of its current exhibition. In 2022, this was the exhibition Time & Tide by Siebe Swart. Submitted photos are judged by a professional jury, and the 10 best images are displayed in large format on dibond in the museum.
No Guts No Glory Foundation – The Portrait Project
No Guts No Glory is a Dutch foundation dedicated to making special (musical) experiences and wishes come true for people of all ages living with cancer, as well as their caregivers. This includes organising living room concerts, concert and festival visits, purchasing musical instruments, and arranging music lessons.
Through The Portrait Project, Robin Looy (concert photographer and No Guts No Glory volunteer) sells unique (live) portraits and signed items from well-known artists such as Foo Fighters, Sting and Kiss. Portraits of Dutch artists — including De Heideroosjes, Rob Dekay, Brainpower and others — are also available.
All prints are sponsored by Profotonet, ensuring that the full proceeds go directly to the foundation. New photos are added weekly, and bidding takes place via their Instagram account.
